Rehabilitation for seniors at Fizjo&Well. What do you need to know about it?

Offer rehabilitation "for seniors" is aimed at people over the age of 50. Such people can benefit from both single and pass visits. We offer top-quality physiotherapy consultations, therapeutic massage services and individual Pilates classes.

What is the purpose of rehabilitation for Seniors?

Listening to your health stories, we decided to create a service at Fizjo&Well that is a little different to classic physiotherapy appointments. Our aim is to guide you through your therapy and motivate you to take health-promoting steps in such a way that you are happy to implement our recommendations. On the other hand, you come to the clinic to assess your condition and progress, and to undergo physiotherapy techniques that you would not be able to perform on your own at home. We don't want to say that physiotherapy is an adjunct to the healing process, but that would be the most accurate statement. It is in your hands, and more specifically in your diet, physical activity and mental health care that the key to success lies. We are here to complement the above elements with the aspect of body therapy. Below, we answer the most common questions asked on the subject rehabilitation of the elderly.

How often do we see you at the Physio&Well practice?

We adjust the frequency of meetings to your needs and possibilities. We can meet 2 or even 3 times a week, but we can spread the meetings over several months and see each other less often. We will agree on the frequency of meetings together. If you decide to purchase Senior citizen pass its validity is 3 months.

Why a separate offer for Seniors?

We have created a senior citizen packageas we realise that regular visits to a physiotherapist are most effective and necessary as we get older. Involution processes, i.e. the body's ageing processes, are constantly progressing. A number of changes take place in our body: elastic fibres become fragmented and calcified, and this contributes to less elasticity in the tissues; connective tissue becomes thick and loses elasticity; joint cartilage becomes brittle and susceptible to damage; fat mass increases, and posture also changes. This is why we want to work with you on a regular basis and be able to respond to changes in the body as they occur.

This aspect led us to highlight your age group and offer the service at pass priceswhich will enable regular, long-term meetings.

What ailments can Seniors come to Physio&Well with?

What does a visit to a physiotherapist at Fizjo&Well in Warsaw look like?

We will meet you in the office where we discuss any current complaints and take a medical history. If you have any imaging studies (ultrasound, X-ray, MRI or CT scan) please bring the results with you. We then set up an improvement plan, which we give you on paper. The plan includes written recommendations, exercises and dietary advice. We feel that only a complete approach to the patient's problems allows for therapeutic success.

What therapeutic techniques do we use in the treatment of Seniors?

At each visit, we select treatment techniques according to demand. The range of techniques is very wide - from gentle toning techniques - calming the nervous system, through to deeper, stretching techniques, treating deeper structures and sometimes causing discomfort, which of course aims to initiate repair processes in the tissues. The physiotherapeutic techniques we perform are confirmed by training, courses and workshops.

Nowadays senior citizens are health-conscious and caring individuals. This is why old age is now not just associated with illness and limitations. Preventive health care and physical activity make it possible to delay the organism's ageing processes, which will occur with age in each of us. That is why we encourage you to visit Fizjo & Well at 13 Lanciego Street, or call us to make an appointment for a physiotherapy consultation. You are more than welcome!
